All terms
NFC (near-field communication)
A short-range wireless technology (a few centimetres) that lets a phone read a small chip — such as the one inside an ElitezCard — without a battery in the card.
NFC business card
A physical business card with an NFC chip that opens your digital profile when tapped on a phone. Also called a smart or contactless business card.
Digital business card
A mobile web page with your contact details and links, shared by NFC, QR code, link, WhatsApp or email. Also called a virtual, electronic or e-business card.
Digital visiting card
A term widely used in the UAE and South Asia for a digital business card.
Digital profile
A one-page mobile mini-website for a person or business: services, gallery, testimonials, booking and contact buttons.
vCard (.vcf)
The standard contact file format. When someone taps "save contact" on your profile, their phone imports your vCard.
Dynamic vCard
A vCard generated from your live profile, so the saved contact reflects your latest details at the time it's saved.
QR code
A square barcode any phone camera can scan to open a link. Every ElitezCard card and profile has one as a backup to NFC.
Google review card
An NFC + QR card that opens a business's Google review page, so customers can leave a review in seconds.
Metal NFC card
A premium smart business card with a metal body. It opens the same editable profile as a PVC card.
PVC card
A durable plastic card body — the material of the ElitezCard Smart Business Card.
Team workspace
A plan for managing several people's digital business cards under one brand. ElitezCard's covers 10 vCards.
Paperless networking
Sharing contact details digitally (tap, scan, link) instead of printing and handing out paper cards.
Review gating
Only asking happy customers for reviews. It breaks Google's policies — a review card should be offered to every customer the same way.
